Two Super Monzas were entered into the Alcarras six hour Enduro race as part of the final testing of the Super Monza kits before they are launched. BOTH scooters finished, Performance Tuning team one won the race outright, the first time a Lambretta has won the even in nearly thirty five years.
The point that needs to be made is that both scooters were out of the box kits, untuned Super Monzas in road going bikes. Both engines were full spec checked (as all Cambridge Lambretta kits sold will be). They had no one off parts like many of the 'prototype' or racing machines they were against.
We did'nt go to win.. we went to prove endurance... it just so happened that we won too. These Super Monzas as good as they are, still produces around 10hp LESS than Charley's GP4 and were in full heavy weight road trim.
